My Personal List of Banned Providers

This is a list of Businesses / Establishments / Chains or Specific Locations which have wronged me or someone else and I feel strongly enough about it to choose not to do business with them and I speak ill of them any and all chances I get.

steak n shake grapevine #499	drive through 4/22/06 11:54am - 12:16, sarah 2 cars in front no one behind, not that busy otherwise appeared to be single orders in other cars, mine was one meal girl at window did not even acknowledge the 22 minute wait paid with cash exact change (i had a lot of time to go through my change) reciept shows condiment choices but no condiments or lettuce, tomato on burger burger itself was thin and fry-burnt/crispy - could not eat it called 800 number on reciept, awaiting response (5/1, no response) originally went there because of a craving - doubtful that craving will ever re-appear
sbc dsl and phone service	Mid December 2005: Called sbc about phone call-blocking question which they couldn't answer - but my cheerful rep says she can double my dsl speed for half the cost if I sign up for long distance @ $2/month. I says that sounds like a good deal, okey doke. (background: I have had dsl with sbc almost since it was invented -over 6 years- with no issues and only rare disconnects every 4 months or so...) A week or so after the call my dsl quits working. After calls to sbc it turns out I am now setup as pppoe and need a password-first sign of trouble. yada yada yada, phone calls disconnects my dsl, using keyboard disconnects my dsl, breathing disconnects my dsl. thoughout Jan 06: calls to sbc, visits from sbc techs: no trouble they can see. Feb 06: more daily (hourly) disconnects, more calls, more tech visits, no trouble there end (no changes my end) Mar 06, more daily (hourly) disconnects, more calls, yada yada yada, call comcast, get cable modem, cancel sbc. and now that I have cable modem, sign up for sunrocket voip phone service and cancel all sbc phone services... see ya! let's see your profit report next quarter sbc beeeotches!
Schlotzsky's / Grapevine	Back on! and now it's a permanent ban...details later, but I spent 20 minutes in the drive through and left with no food - shame of it was that I don't think they even noticed I finally left... was off ban briefly: New management, quality has been good - I had a craving and gave em a chance... Previous ban reason: Many failed orders and I saw their olives later one night
Caliber Collision Body Shop Lewisville	My White Camaro Convertible was hit by an idiot from Kansas driving a hearse (another story). While his insurance finally paid for the door damage, I paid the shop to fix my hood where a basketball pole had blown over, banged on the hood and slid down the nose. Went to pick it up and the guy is bragging about the job they did on the door while I'm looking at the paint that has been power-washed off my nose cone and the swirls and overspray on the hood. "that wasn't like that?", he asks. "No" says I. After arguing awhile how he wasn't responsible for checking his guys work or evenin glancing at the car to see if it was completed, he finally assures me they will fix it when it's conveniant for me. I say now would be good. He says they are too busy right now. I give him a week and call back to voice my understanding and schedule to bring it in for touch-up, buffing whatever and he nows says actually, his painter quit and now really isn't a good time... The nose is still missing paint, the hood still has swirls and overspray and I tell everyone I see who is responsible...I'm sure I'll fix it eventually...maybe
Carmax / Plano	They hype up their claim of "thorough inspections" and "we won't sell a bad car" yet they don't even fix the leak in the windows that flooded the rear of our Tahoe after having to replace the mildewed carpet which we had to alert them to on day 3 of ownership
AT&T Wireless	We could not get useable coverage at our home address and their voicemail menuing system sucks
Braums / Grapevine	After I held the door for an old grey-haired black gentleman who was using a cane, he was verbally accosted at the counter for not ordering fast enough by a rude middle-aged white woman. One of her quotes I recall was, "I don't have to put up with this shit" (I had been a regular lunch customer there until that day)
Dominos / The Colony	We ordered 2 pizzas, received one empty box upon delivery. The adult driver refused to leave the good pizza with us and wouldn't bring the correct order back unless we paid him first (we sent him on his way)
GE Capital	Late with a payment one month, we were subjected to repeated phone calls from "Jamaican accented" women who refused to hang up the phone. We got to the point where it became a contest to see who would hang on the longest. We watched a movie together, I narrated what was happening, she just stayed there...it wasn't even fun after awhile...I later paid off that account as fast as I could with another company and the first question I ask any potential financier is, "You don't use GE Capital do you?".
Diamond Shamrock Gas	Cashiers on personal phone calls instead of waiting on customers. Would rather sell lottery tickets than anything else

All fountain drinks	I refuse to pay $1.49 for a small soda
All Theatre Food/Drinks	Obvious reasons - see above

McDonalds / Grapevine, TX	They have what looks like a heavy metal 70's rocker working the window getting it right now and the double cheeseburgers are a deal! Previous ban reason: One too many failed orders and "please pull ahead"'s
Olive Garden / Grapevine	I couldn't stay away... They are on probation though - I'm hearing things about their small chicken parmesan portions... Previous ban reason: (this one hurts, but) They refuse to accommodate my need for breadsticks and Alfredo sauce (I'd pay for them - just bring the damn breadsticks!)
